Sweet Corn Fondue Recipe
Ingredients
1 pound frozen sweet corn kernels
2 tsp cornstarch
3 Tbsp cream
Salt and pepper to taste
Few drops Tabasco sauce
1 ounce butter
Cooked shrimp for dippers
Instructions
Put sweet corn into a saucepan with 2 tbsp water and simmer for a few minutes
until tender. Drain the corn and put into a food blender. Process until soft but
not too smooth. In a saucepan, blend the cornflour smoothly with the cream. Add
the sweet corn mixture and cook over a low heat until smooth. Pour the mixture
into a fondue pot, season with salt, pepper and Tabasco, then beat in butter.
Set pot over a low burner to keep warm.
Serve with
cooked shrimp as dippers.
